Mondays 7-8pm: Improvers Pilates

Mondays 8.15-9.15pm: Intermediate Pilates

Wednesdays 3.30-4.30pm: Pilates for Pregnancy

Wednesdays 5.30-6.30pm: Improvers Pilates 

Thursdays 8-9pm: Beginners Pilates

Fridays 10.15-11.15am: Intermediate Pilates 

 

All classes are run by a Chartered Physiotherapist with 10 max per class

€90 for a 7 week block.

Pilates is one of the safest and most effective forms of exercise for pregnany women.

With an increased curve in the lower back, additional pressure on the spine and separation of the abdominal muscles, many women develop backache and poor posture.

Ante natal and post natal Pilates focuses on exercises and stretches to strengthen the core, stabilise the pelvis, improve posture, deep breathing and relaxation.

What are the benefits?

Pilates helps to reduce the risk of problematic pre & post natal conditions.

 • Improves core strength which stabilises the back and pelvis

 • Improves pelvic floor strength which prevents stress incontinence

At Gorey Pilates Studio we offer a Chartered Physiotherapist led, 7 week term of ante-natal and post natal pilates. Our small class size, with a maximum of 8 participants, allows your therapist to ensure you are carrying out the exercises effectively and also allows for exercises to be adapted as your body changes.

Flora Womens Mini Marathon

The countdown is on already on to the 2014 Flora Womens Mini Marathon. Online and postal entry will open on 19th February 2014, only a couple of weeks away. 40,000 women will converge on the streets of  Dublin to participate in the 10 K event, scheduled for Bank Holiday Monday, June 2nd. Each year millions of euros are raised for charities all over Ireland.
